FloDesign - Innovative Business Incubator

Inventor Launchpad

FloDesign’s Inventor Launchpad offers a complete collection of solutions to help the inventor with limited resources get their project off the ground. Through the phases of the Inventor Launchpad, our team of innovation experts help you through the invention development process including the following important elements.

Establishing Direction and Documentation

Clearly defining ideas about the invention from “before-during-after” perspective will help crystallize and solidify the goals of the project.

The documentation effort will help define the fine details about the idea including its intended purpose, how the invention process will work, who the target market is, and what roadblock might exist during the invention process.

Conducting Exploration and Research

After the completion of the idea’s documentation, the distinctiveness of your idea or concept will need to be established. This exploration takes the form of both legal, Intellectual Property, and market research to make sure your idea does not infringe on an existing registered or patented product. Our team of IP experts have spent hundreds of hours researching products and validating their IP feasibility.

Determining Market Placement

As the concept becomes more clear and marketability more feasible, determining your idea’s target audience becomes the next logical step. We help you identify the marketing demographic for your idea or invention. Moreover, we explore both target and alternate uses for the idea to help expand its potential market landscape.

Prototype Development

With documentation, research, and market studies to back up the idea, developing a prototype of the idea becomes necessary. The prototype will bring a real-life feel to the concept and help serve as a proof-of-concept that the supporting research is sound.

We’ll start with illustrations, renderings, and computer based models in both 2D and 3D. If necessary, we can further prototype development with the production of a small sample set, or “run” of the product.

The prototype process will help determine raw material needs to manufacturer the final product.

Business Considerations and Marketing

All the work to this point will help answer the question, “Can we build this product and market it effectively to our target audience?”. We’ll examine the financial requirements involved in taking the product to market. It’s important to verify that your idea is not only marketable, but attainable.

When it comes to marketing, we’ll investigate which marketing sources will provide the most effective use of your budget and maximize exposure to your demographic.

We’ll drive towards a complete business model centric to your idea.

Follow On

The process does not end with marketing. Our experts will assist beyond marketing with expanding the product footprint and opening up visibility in new markets.
