FloDesign, Inc., founded in 1990, by Dr. Walter Presz, is comprised of 15 employees representing a vast experience base in business development, design engineering, venture management, and patent licensing.
Since its founding in 1990, FloDesign has spun out numerous companies that have gone on to raise over $50 million in venture capital dollars. FloDesign has a long history of successful research and product development, including, but not limited to, shrouded wind and water turbines, ultrasonic agglomeration and filtration systems, jet engine suppressors, mixer/ejector systems, acoustic technology, robotic systems, aerospace engineering and high speed film automation. FloDesign’s strengths are derived from a passion for success coupled with the vast experience of our employees. At FloDesign we have a proven track record of working with such satisfied clients as, Rolls Royce, NASA Langley, General Electric, United Technologies Corporation, U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of Defense, to name a few. We also have a history of successful business spin-outs including Stage III Technologies, FloDesign Wind Turbine, FloDesign Water Turbine, FloDesign Sonics and FloPropulsion. FloDesign also creates a value-added strength to all of our clients through our close working relationship with Western New England University (WNEU). This relationship allows us access to WNEU’s world-class laboratories, resources, and expertise when needed.
